How it works
Scoping
As with all things we start with a conversation and a brief. This is the most important step where we try and get the key information, goals and concerns. We have lots of methods - our favourites are MOIST and MOAT!
We do a deep dive on research and come up with the UX (User Experience) plan. The outcome of this stage is Wireframes for key pages and a sitemap. A wireframe is a boxy diagram of how the page will appear to users. The sitemap is a map of all the required pages.
Design
From the wireframes and sitemap we can then design and construct your website (or build up from a copy of your existing one). For speed and efficiency we often design straight into the browser using our preferred WordPress framework Divi. This ensures mobile design is there from the very start. But for larger project there is an extra design step which might also include branding.
Build
We have a base install that we use which has all the monitoring, SEO and security plugins you may need. We have been using WordPress since its very early days so have huge amounts of experience in getting the best out of this wonderful platform. When key pages are built it's time for the content to be added. We give lessons and give full admin access - we like you to have as much control as we do over your site.
Launch
As we move towards launch we test for SEO and responsive design - ie does it work on as many screen sizes as possible. As long as you have bought the domain name we can host on our servers, or use yours. We maintain and monitor the site for security, uptime and optimisations.

Every WordPress site is different and there are good ones and bad ones. Similarly there are bad WordPress plugins and good ones. We have enough experience to know the tricks and to have a bank of trusted themes and plugins.
WordPress does have a tendency to be slow so we have lots of methods to reduce bottlenecks and speed up some rather complicated sites.
The problem with any system as popular as WordPress is that this makes it a target for hackers. But on the flip side there are more people working to protect it.
