We have worked with APT for many years

And APT have been around for even longer – since 2000 in fact.

Much like ourselves this Cheltenham based PR and marketing agency have loyal customers and a brand that has spanned decades. But their brand is professional yet welcoming. Funky without being overly serious. We wanted to reflect this and worked hard to evolve their brand through design and most of all strategy.

Their strapline was updated to reflect the company’s longevity. The language was adapted with puns and simplicity in mind.

APT Marketing had many sites reflecting the many sides of their business. APT PR, Marketing and Hospitality marketing have all merged to become one streamlined website and offering.

They have also moved towards the D&I space which means a focus on humanity above all else.

Up early, capturing worms since 2000

Under the Hood

This is a standard WordPress and Divi based website. And we use the Practically site generator too.

Before the multiple websites were our own CMS, called Revo.

But the really clever stuff are the animations which are Lottie SVG animations, controlled with Lottie interactivity scripts. Our very own Agate drew the characters and made some rather beautiful animations.

We are proud of…

Our design thinking

And in particular one thought. APT’s strapline from the beginning is “The early bird catches the worm”. Referring of course to all good PR tactics. Hence the APT logo for more than 25 years has been a worm, and APT has become known as that worm brand. Our thought: That it is the bird that catches the worm (by getting up early). So APT should be the bird (not the worm).

Therefore we invented some little tales around birds, worms and the bird generally chasing the worm and catching it. Along the way we updated the worm graphics and reduced the whole brand to its simplest colours and fonts.
